Cassian stands with quiet confidence, his striking mohican forming a bold focal point above a soft mint collar and sculpted ruffle. The strong geometry of his hairstyle contrasts beautifully with the flowing ceramic forms below, creating a character that feels both contemporary and timeless.

Hand-built in stoneware clay, Cassian forms part of Sean Bishop's Collared Souls collection. The series explores identity, individuality and the subtle presence each person carries. While each Soul shares the recognisable language of sculpted collars, every piece develops its own unmistakable personality.

Each sculpture is individually hand-built using stoneware clay, coloured with slips, and finished with a clear glaze that is carefully wiped back to preserve the tactile quality of the clay and the marks left by the making process. No two Souls are ever the same.

Rather than representing a particular individual, Cassian invites viewers to bring their own interpretations, memories and emotions to the work, allowing a unique connection to develop with each encounter.
